The Highwayman miniature Toby Jug is an unusual collectible in a series which includes Henry VIII, Nelson, Town Crier, Butcher, Doctor, and the Drunkard.
Toby jugs are named after the 18th century Yorkshire man, Toby Fillpot, who according to the song, drank 2 000 pints of ale. They are in the form of a caricature of a fat human, or sometimes just a face, and are usually male. The original Toby jugs date back to the 1760s. Life-size versions were made by various well-known English potteries. Also, Toby jugs are known for their great attention to detail in the modelling and painting.
Now you can own a miniature replica of a Toby jug for your dollhouse.
What Scale is This Miniature?
This miniature Toby jug Highwayman is ideal to display in your 1:12 scale dollhouse. They could also fit in with the decor of 1/6 scale Barbie or Blythe, but we believe that their proper place is in a traditional dollhouse setting.

This Toby jug is 20mm tall and 17mm wide, including the handle.
Materials and Care
This is a solid casting for display only. We paint the jugs by hand in many finely detailed layers to resemble porcelain, then seal them with gloss varnish. You can dust your Toby jug with a soft brush, or gently wipe it with a damp cloth.
